Ideal for seasoned bargain hunters and curious weekend explorers, here are the vide-greniers to look out for across Geneva Canton this September.
Vide-Greniers in Vernier VillageThe Vide-Greniers de Vernier Village takes place on Saturday 5 September, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the courtyard of École de Vernier-Place (school). The event combines second-hand shopping with a lively programme including live music, activities, a bar and light refreshments.
Vide Grenier in BellevueThe Club des Bellevistes will hold its annual Vide Grenier in Bellevue on Sunday 6 September, from 10 a.m. in the covered courtyard of Bellevue School. The event offers an opportunity to browse second-hand goods and for local residents to clear out unwanted items. Light refreshments will be available on site.
Vide-Greniers in AnièresOn Saturday 19 September, Anières hosts its annual Vide-Greniers at Place de la Côte-d’Or. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., visitors can browse the different stalls, look for second-hand treasures and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. A drinks stand and light refreshments will be available on site.
'Le Chemin Roilbot est à vous !' in Pregny-ChambésyOn Saturday 19 September, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Chemin de Roilbot in Chambésy becomes a large neighbourhood flea market. Residents are invited to sell, exchange and browse second-hand goods, with the event focusing on reuse and community connections. Any unsold items can be donated to the Centre Social Protestant, whose collection truck will be present at 5 p.m. The event will move to Sunday 20 September, in case of bad weather.
Vide-Grenier in Plan-les-OuatesThe AIPLO flea market returns to Plan-les-Ouates on Saturday 19 September, with a special edition marking the commune’s 175th anniversary. The event on Esplanade de la Mairie and Mail 2000 will feature 175 stalls, giving visitors plenty of opportunities to browse, shop and find second-hand treasures. There will also be light refreshments available all day. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Crêpes gratuites et vide-dressing solidaire in Chêne-BourgChêne-Bourg hosts a solidarity clothing sale combined with free crêpes on Saturday 19 September, on Place Favre and in Point-Favre Hall, offering visitors the opportunity to browse second-hand clothing while enjoying a complimentary treat. The clothing sale starts at 11 a.m., while the free crêpes are from 2 p.m. Payments can be made in cash, in Swiss Francs only.
Vide Grenier in OnexThe Vide Grenier in Onex is a community flea market organised by the Association des Habitants Onex Cité. Visitors can browse and buy second-hand objects and clothing at stalls set up on Place du 150ème. The event takes place on Sunday 27 September, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
