About Presinge:
Presinge includes the hamlets of Cara and La Louvière. Occupied since Roman times, it was part of the Comtes de Genève and later the House of Savoy.
In 1792, it became French, then joined the canton of Geneva in 1816. Divided in 1851 due to disputes with Puplinge, it remains mostly rural.
The St. Félix Church, built in the Romanesque style, was first mentioned in 1304 and has been expanded and restored over the centuries.

HISTORIC BUILDINGS
Saint-Félix churchThe church was first mentioned in 1304, with the chancel dating back to the 12th century.
In 1687, a bell named Saint-Félix was blessed by Reverend Allégret and was placed in a window frame.
The church was reconstructed in 1821, preserving the choir and walls, and renovated in Gothic style in 1854.
Restoration work continued in the 1920s, with a new gallery and coffered ceiling added. The church was renovated again between 1967-1970, and drainage work was done in 2004 to protect it from humidity.
