Scène des Arts As part of the celebrations marking Onex's 175th anniversary, Onex, Scène des Arts transforms the Parc de la Mairie into a vibrant open-air festival celebrating music, dance, theatre and the performing arts. Held alongside the commune's traditional Swiss National Day festivities, the three-day event showcases a diverse programme of live concerts, artistic performances, family entertainment and cultural activities designed to bring generations and communities together. Swiss National DaySwiss National Day, celebrated on 1 August, commemorates the Federal Charter of 1291, the alliance that marks the symbolic founding of the Swiss Confederation. Jazz sur la PlageSet on the shores of Lake Geneva, Jazz sur la Plage brings together talented Swiss and international musicians for two evenings of live jazz. Puplinge-les-Bains Summer returns to Puplinge with the sixth edition of Puplinge-les-Bains. The programme includes live concerts, DJ nights, open-air cinema, beach volleyball and pétanque tournaments, dance classes, yoga, children's workshops, inflatable games, sports activities and themed evenings. Run & Dance Festival Returning for its second edition, the Run & Dance Festival combines running, wellness and music for a full day of activities at the former Cynodrome in Versoix. Participants can choose from 5 km, 10 km, 15 km and 21 km running routes, or take on the HYROX Challenge. The festival also features a dedicated wellness zone with Pilates, yoga, physiotherapy, sauna, cold baths, red light therapy and breathwork sessions. Throughout the day, a line-up of DJs will keep the music going from the main stage, bringing together the running community from across French-speaking Switzerland for a unique event centred on sport, wellbeing and shared experiences. Jeanne et Bianca Débarquent dans Ton QuartierJeanne et Bianca is a local cultural and community association dedicated to promoting the visibility and professional integration of women. Piz Palü FestivalThe Piz Palü Festival celebrates today's Swiss and international music scene in a distinctive local venue. La Sixième Vague - escape game on the lakeBecome the detective in La Sixième Vague, an immersive outdoor escape game that transforms Lake Geneva into the scene of a thrilling mystery. Two young scouts have disappeared, an old notebook has resurfaced, and strange radio signals hint at a secret linked to the legendary Beast of La Maladière. Travelling by paddleboard or canoe, participants navigate between different locations, interact with actors portraying key characters, uncover clues and work together to solve the mystery. FestiverbantReturning for another edition in the countryside of Compesières, Festiverbant is one of Geneva's longest-running free rock festivals. Since 1999, the volunteer-run event has brought together music lovers for three days of live rock and blues, showcasing a mix of Swiss and international bands. Les Rencontres Musicales – Feel the GrooveFeel the Groove is a free three-day festival celebrating the sounds of pop, funk and soul. Taking place across several stages, the programme features tribute shows dedicated to James Brown, Prince, Michael Jackson and Jamiroquai, alongside performances by Swiss artists and funk bands. Summer DiscoGet ready for an evening of Disco and Latino rhythms in the Parc de la Mairie. Open to all ages, the event features live music, dancing and family-friendly entertainment. Les Jeudis de la RentréeLes Jeudis de la Rentrée combine creativity and live music for an enjoyable evening in Thônex. The programme begins with a music workshop for children aged 9 to 11, where participants explore rhythm, sound and a variety of musical instruments through interactive games and creative activities. Following the workshop, children will have the opportunity to meet the musicians before the evening concert. Frank Sinatra Tribute Concert in Support of a School in Burkina FasoEnjoy an evening of timeless classics at "Hommage à Frank Sinatra", a special concert in aid of the school in Pô, Burkina Faso. Vernier SwimRun Take on the Vernier SwimRun, a team race that combines trail running and open-water swimming through the forests, countryside and the Rhône in Vernier. Participants alternate between running and swimming without changing equipment, making for a unique endurance challenge in a spectacular natural environment. Défi des Marais
The Défi des Marais is a unique charity and inclusive sporting event organised by the non-profit association Roule pour Hugo in support of people living with spinal cord injuries. Taking place between Veyrier and Troinex, participants are invited to complete as many 1.6 km laps as they wish by walking, running or using a wheelchair, with every kilometre sponsored to raise funds for charity.
